We are so excited to share November's Motivating Mom of the Month with you all! This special mama just celebrated her one year anniversary of being a Body Back Transformation client and boy does this mama represent all the amazingness that happens in Body Back! Read on to hear all about why we chose to celebrate the incredibly hard working Megan Cavazinni this month!
"What a pleasure it is to honor Megan as our Motivating Mom this month! Megan has been a part of our FIT4MOM tribe for almost two years now and has a very special place in our hearts in both the stroller and Body Back worlds!!
Megan defines motivation. She is focused, dedicated, tries new things, and comes up with a plan to reach any goal she sets for herself. She is a working mama who still finds time for self-care, family, and friends, and is organized and efficient in every aspect of her life so she can be present to the things that matter most. Megan has been with us since Charlotte was a new baby and recently celebrated her one year Body Back anniversary! When Megan first started taking Stroller Strides/Barre classes with us, it was plain to see we had a hard-working, focused woman join our group who was thrilled to enjoy time with her baby as well as other moms. She scooped up every bit of FIT4MOM available to her! A few months later, Megan joined our Body Back program and her health and fitness really took off. Megan has absolutely championed our Body Back program. She has shown us time and time again, each and every session, what a Transformation looks, feels, and sounds like. Each session, Megan dedicates her time to choosing a different goal, then works towards it week in and week out. She spends her time at home cooking and prepping healthy and delicious meals and makes her nutrition a priority. She has a quiet way of leading our group, though her motivating performance and support of others speaks volumes. Seeing her body and spirit take shape over the past year has been amazing to watch. If you need a perfect example of the magic of FIT4MOM touching someone’s life, just look at Megan!
Megan, you are so incredibly strong, kind, consistent, and self-reflective. You have an amazing ability to bring intention to everything you set your mind to. We asked Megan a few questions so you all can get to know her better and this is what she had to say:
1. Who are the members of your family?
My husband, Steve, my son, Nicholas, and my daughter, Charlotte.
2. What is/was your career?
Marketing Manager, Digital Creative for Subway
3. List 3 of your favorite things:
Anything Harry Potter, reading, and watching movies
4. What would your partner say is your best quality?
How I stay organized and keep everyone on track and keep our family running.
5. How long have you been a member of FIT4MOM Southeast Fairfield County, and what has it done for you?
2 years in January. It has changed everything for me! I eat better, I exercise more than I ever have, and I, overall, just feel better.
6.What is your favorite class exercise?
Running or anything with weights
7. What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?
How when you are in the middle of a trying time with your child (potty training, a listening problem phase, etc.) and it feels like it will never end, but then a few days, weeks, months later you look back and realize it did not last forever and you hopefully came out stronger than you were before.
8. What is your proudest mommy moment so far?
Every time my kids play together and really enjoy spending time with each other and show how considerate they are and truly care about each other.
9.Any advice for other moms out there?
You need to find some time for yourself. Even when you feel like you have no time because your life is all about your kids, you need to make time for yourself, whether it is simply meditating for a few minutes, or watching your favorite show for a half hour, or getting out of the house for a while. You are no good to your family if you don't take care of yourself first. Self care is so important!
Megan we are so proud of all of your hard work and so grateful you chose us to help give you the #strengthformotherhood. You are a true inspiration!! Keep it up!
